EWS legal information

Terms of use

Version 2026-09-29. Effective September 29, 2026.

Previous version: July 10, 2026 (2026-07-10).

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your use of the EWS app and service (“EWS”), provided by the operator of EWS (the “provider”, “we”). EWS is an informational situational-awareness service in beta for approved users aged 17 or older.

What changed in this version

Access and acceptance

EWS is available by invitation. There is no public self-service registration. Invited users sign in and complete a short access review (the security check) before access is granted. Access is decided by a person and may be given per region (for example the Middle East or Europe) and per feature (for example briefings). You can ask for access to further regions or features in the app; asking does not guarantee access.

You may use EWS only if you are at least 17, have an approved and active account, and can legally accept these Terms. By accepting the version shown in the app, you agree to it.

Your account

Your access is personal. Do not share your account, sign-in links or codes, or let others use EWS through your account. Keep your devices secure and tell support@relaygarden.com promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. The number of devices per account may be limited; signing in on a new device may sign out an older one.

Beta service

EWS is a beta. Features, coverage and regions can change, be incomplete or be switched off. EWS Europe and briefings are early features whose coverage and quality are still being established.

Sources and automated content

EWS combines third-party sources with automated collection, classification and summarization. Alerts, levels, map locations, scores, situation assessments, outlooks and forecasts, daily briefings (including “Watch next 24h” and “Long-term developments”) and share cards are produced with automated tools, including AI. They can be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, misclassified or wrong. Outlooks and forecasts are estimates, not predictions you can rely on.

Status labels such as “Confirmed”, “Officially denied” or “Reported as false” are EWS’s automated assessment of the available reporting. They are not statements by any government or authority. Places shown on the map are approximate.

EWS is not an emergency, government, aviation, travel-authority, medical, legal, financial or professional security advisory service. It does not replace emergency channels, official notices, professional advice or your own judgment. Verify important matters with current official, primary or otherwise authoritative sources before relying or acting on them. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services and official channels.

Sharing

You may share individual alerts, briefings, screenshots and the share cards the app creates, for personal, non-commercial purposes, as long as you keep the attribution to EWS and any time or “Automated summary” label, and do not alter the content in a misleading way. You are responsible for what you share.

You may not scrape, systematically copy or export EWS content, redistribute it at scale (for example as a feed, channel, newsletter or data set), sell or license it, or present it as official, verified or endorsed information.

Prohibited conduct

Do not use EWS unlawfully or to harm others; impersonate another person; share access; give false answers in the access review; bypass access or security controls; probe, scrape, automate access to, reverse engineer, overload or interfere with the service; or introduce malicious code.

Intellectual property and third-party material

The provider and its licensors keep all rights in EWS software, design, branding and original material. Access gives you no ownership and no right to commercialize EWS. Third-party sources remain subject to their owners’ rights and terms; including them does not imply that EWS owns or endorses them.

Suspension and termination

The provider may limit, suspend or end access if approval ends, these Terms are breached, or continued access creates legal, security or operational risk. You may stop using EWS at any time and ask for your account to be closed. Provisions on sharing, intellectual property, responsibility and governing law continue to apply after termination where relevant.

Availability and changes to these Terms

EWS may be interrupted or discontinued, and no uninterrupted, timely, complete or error-free service is promised. Each version of these Terms has a version number, an effective date and a short summary of what changed, shown in the app. A change is either for information only, needs your acceptance by a given date (you can keep using EWS until then), or needs your acceptance before you continue. If you do not accept a required version, your access pauses until you do.

Responsibility and liability

You are responsible for verifying information before making decisions. To the extent permitted by law, EWS is provided as available, without warranties except those that cannot lawfully be excluded, and the provider is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use, unavailability or inaccurate content. Nothing excludes liability or user rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for intent or gross negligence where mandatory law provides.

Swiss law and mandatory rights

Swiss law governs these Terms, without displacing mandatory law, mandatory rights or a mandatory forum that applies to you and cannot be waived by agreement. If any provision is unenforceable, it is limited only as necessary and the remaining provisions continue.
